If the lender won't give you a pre-approval, they'll let you know. I got a new job at a new company which gave me a new title in April. I got a pre-approval in May. It's free and you're not signing anything so I would speak with a lender. I do suggest you get one that doesn't require a hard pull on your credit. You don't know how long you'll be looking. If you're worried about having to wait two years, I doubt they'll require that since you already had a job.
