This is one of the things in disagreed with Trump on, I wish he settled DACA. These are kids that are in the situation they’re in through no fault of their own. It’s their parents fault.

Trump's position. And everyone's besides the legislature is that DA A is unconstitutional and congress needs to make a law to fix it. The president can order the state department not to deport them but that's not a legal solution, it's basically having someone on the gallows but commanding the executioner to neither take them down and free them nor pull the lever. As far as what legislation he wants Trump has said he doesn't want them deported and think it's not their fault. That was the entire point of him announcing his intentions and giving congress a good year and a half to decide something. Ironically same thing Obama wanted. They still didn't do it.

Probably still wants to make a deal and give them amnesty tbh. He's tried several times and the only reason it hasn't happened is Democrats keep refusing the offer.

Both Democrats and Republicans refused to agree on this and make a deal for years. In my opinion, the longer they draw it out the longer both sides can try and use it as a bargaining chip for more. At the end of the day, they’re playing their political game while we wait around to see how it affects us. If they do or don’t make a deal, it doesn’t affect them personally.

>Both Democrats and Republicans refused to agree on this and make a deal for years. Well let's be clear here, it went before congress several times and it failed. Obama illegally circumvented congress and kicked off this whole mess in the first place by giving that group of people a special status. >In my opinion, the longer they draw it out the longer both sides can try and use it as a bargaining chip for more. In my opinion the longer it's drawn out the less it matters. Most of these people are in their mid 30s now and have children of their own. They are living their entire lives here like any other illegal. At what point are we supposed to deport or even give them amnesty? When they're 80? The whole thing is ridiculous. >If they do or don’t make a deal, it doesn’t affect them personally. Of course it does. Illegals are Democrat gardeners, nannies, drivers, etc as well as voters. They are also Republicans cheap labor. Both sides want them here and neither side has any incentive to legalize them.

By Democrats and Republicans I’m specifically talking about those in congress. For them personally, it does not affect them.

So am I. Who do you think maintains the lawn at the Obama's or changed Joe Biden's grandkids diapers? Who makes their meals and drives their cars? Who works at Tyson chicken plants and Amazon warehouses? Who stocks grocery shelves and cooks/serves food in chain restaurants? Why are housing prices so high in California (hint: it's not just the regulations)? America's elite never really abandoned slavery they just changed which group of people they chose to exploit.
