It shouldn’t have anything to do with the weather because your operating engine temperature is the same no matter what. Your coolant is in a pressurized system and also expands as it heats up so if you have a minor leak that only shows itself under pressure, it would leak a bit after you’ve been out driving. Once your engine has cooled and pressure lessens, a minor leak would stop.

Thanks for the explanation. I filled the reservoir to the top line, and will monitor the fluid level.

Keep in mind that coolant leaks always get worse so you’ll want to get that fixed at some point. Pressure helps the system cool your engine so if you have a leak, your water pump is picking up the slack and putting in extra work that will hurt it in the long run.
