Hello! I've got an older Asus aspire laptop with some kind of crazy hybrid harddrive. I'm trying to install Ubuntu. Not dual boot, I just want Ubuntu.
Everything seems fine during install, but it just boots to a black screen on restart. I have no idea how to trouble shoot this. I've reinstalled a few times and even added a ssd and tried installing to that. No luck.
Is something wrong with my boot order? Is the weird hybrid drive screwing me somehow? I can replace that if I need to.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
